Please read the rules before joining the site. They are very important and if they are not followed I, as the admin, have the right to ban you from the site or disable your account if I feel the need. I don't want to do this so please read the rules. Thank you.

I will be updating the rules as the site advances and the plot enhances, so please check in. I'll do my best to let you know of any and all changes, but it is your job to keep up to date.[/justify][/SIZE][/color][/font]

• Ankti is a realistic, intermediate, play-by-post Aboriginal and Caribou role play.
  
  
• No one line posts or chatspeak anywhere on the site. Even in the Cbox.
  
  
• 300 words minimum for IC posts. We ask you to help the other role-player by giving them something to build off of. If there is nothing to be found, you will be kindly asked to add more.
  
  
• You must be 13 years of age to join. It's a proboard rule, we have to abide by it.

Etiquette[/color][/font][/b][/center]

• Be respectful and treat everyone kindly. If you are harassing or being flat out rude to any member your account will be disabled temporarily depending on how bad it was. Remember that OOC and IC are two very different things.
  
  
• If a fellow member's posts are too short, kindly ask them to make them longer or leave it to a staff member to deal with.
  
  
• We ask all members to allow staff to deal with bios and simple mistakes so that no one feels like they are being attacked OOC.
  
  
• Good grammar, spelling, punctuation, and sentence form is mandatory at all times on Ankti. Chat speak is banned.
  
  
• Remember that everyone has a real life. It may take time for them to reply.
  
  
• Minor swearing is tolerated, but please remember the time period and that these people did not use the words we do, nor did they really swear at all.
  
  
• No stealing the plot of this site or the bios of any characters. Stealing is wrong, and the ancient spirits would be displeased.
  
  
• Do not advertise anywhere but the Ad board.

Technical Rules[/color][/font][/center][/b]

• Avatars may not be over 150px by 200px.
  
  
• Graphics may not be larger than 500px by 300px.
  
  
• Keep graphics and avatars PG for people browsing through. If it is tasteless and pointless do not put it up.
  
  
• One account per character.
  
  
• You may have as many characters as you want. We ask that you attempt to make them boy girl, boy girl. Don't forget that we have two species that need to be populated. Check the updates (text above the links in the sidebar) to see if a certain species, gender, age, or rank is not allowed at the moment.
  
  
• Your display name must be the name of your character. No excessive punctuation or capitals.
  
  
• Please make sure that your avatar is the species of your character.
  
  
• Though we are realistic, it is very hard to find a celebrity or play by image that looks like a Cree person, therefore all celebrities are allowed. We ask that you crop the image to keep it from looking too out of place. Thank you.

IC Rules[/color][/font][/b][/center]

• Your character's application must be accepted by a staff member before you can start to role-play.
  
  
• You must post a plotting page before you can start to role-play. Please do not use a plot page that another active member is using (a staff will message you asking kindly if you would change it).
  
  
• Violence, minor swearing, and minor mature themes are accepted. Major mature scenes (R-rated sex or really gory fights) are not allowed. If sex is to happen, we ask that you fade to black.
  
  
• No powerplaying, godmodding, mary sues, killing characters without the roleplayer's permission, or roleplaying with yourself. Use your common sense and do what is fair. If you are going to kill another member's character [ie. mass Caribou hunt] all of the characters who are going to die must agree to it.
  
  
• Forced mating is frowned upon but may happen. Both parties must consent to this. A staff member must be contacted as well.
  
  
• Elders, Beta, and Omega are staff positions and are therefore chosen by me. Do not ask to be a staff member. If I feel that someone is worthy, I will appoint them. Elders and Beta are Moderators of all boards and get to help me make decisions. Omega and Elder Apprentices are mainly there to fix and report smaller problems.
  
  
• You must be realistic when dealing with animals. Caribous do not growl and therefore should not do so when role-playing.
  
  
• Your character may only be in four *temporaryhome* threads at a time because our time is only partially liquid
  
  
• For the sake of appearance (yes, I am shallow about post layouts) please write in third person past tense. Bold, italicize, or post in a different colour for speech just so it stands out. Enhanced/advanced/fancy posting tables are, of course, allowed.
  
  
• Characters of different breeds cannot and may not mate.

• Follow all site rules.
  
  
• No advertising, fighting, spamming, impersonating or anything stupid / against common sense such as these.
  
  
• Breaking Cbox rules will get you suspended or banned from the Cbox, one warning only. Abuse is not tolerated; the Cbox is a privilege.
