{In Character Information}
From Nina;
While in character, it is important to remember that you are in character. Your own opinions and beliefs are gone, replaced by that of your character. Here are some tips to hopefully help you make a more realistic Cree or Caribou character, as well as to make sure that your character and role-playing fits that of the site.
-----
Setting
- Current day climate and somewhat accurate weather for the Canadian prairies will be used. There may be extreme storms and your characters will have to adapt as the real Cree and Caribou would have.
- Actual seasons will apply. I will be speeding them up a bit. Look above the links in the sidebar to see the month and season in bold.
- The Prairies are a grassland landform region with some boreal and taiga forest. This means that though a lot of it is grass, there are trees. Both Caribou and Cree can find food, shelter (it's not the best but sometimes it is manageable), and shade here.
- Caribou do tend to wander into Cree lands, as Cree also wander into Caribou lands. Don't limit yourself because of a category designation, they are mainly for organization.

Characters
- The two characters available for role-laying here at Ankti are Cree or Aboriginals (they are not to be referred to as Indians) and Caribou.
- All characters must be over thirteen years of age for Cree and can go up to age of death and two years of age for Caribou to age of death. Note that everyone dies and at any age.
- Cree are the dominant species due to their predator status here in Ankti. Caribou are prey and should remember that they are such while playing. A Caribou would not intentionally go and attack a Cree unless forced to. Cree are not murderers or brutal killers, they respect the animal's soul and therefore only kill what is needed, but they use everything that they can get. Cree are very family oriented and care for the others of their tribe. Caribou are pack animals, usually living in smaller herds in the summer and winter but larger herds while migrating in the spring and fall. They do break off into pairs to mate in the spring.
- An image of a Caribou that is not being used by another member can be used for your PB. Make sure to check the Caribou face claim before using an image. Please don't keep the claim to more than two photos at a time, you can give up an image at any time to make room for another that no one is using.
- Please be creative with names. "Ravenfoot" or "Caribou" are not good names. We will accept a few modern day names, but not everyone's name would be Sarah. If you have more than two characters with a modern name, the new ones will not be accepted.
- When your character is killed, it goes to the In Between, basically the waiting room before your soul is given another body. You character may either reincarnate, remain in the In Between for as long as they want, or (this is only if you are leaving the site and have messaged me, or if you would like a new character and you have messaged me) your character "vanishes", essentially being reincarnated somewhere far away from Ankti so that they may not return. This is explained further in the Waiting Room.
- Though random sex was not common then, we do allow it. Unmarried Cree may sleep around with whomever they want. There may be consequences though, such as death by an STD.

Hunting
- As mentioned above, Cree are very spiritual. They do not go on murderous rampages where they kill an entire herd of Caribou. Instead, the take what they need, thank the animal's spirit, and use every piece of the animal that they may, burying whatever is useless (which is not much). Rogues do kill animals without reason.
- You must have the creator of the other character's consent before hunting and/or killing their character. Beware that Caribou can kill Cree as well and that the odds of survival are not great for either species.
- While in the middle of a hunt or fight scene, you must only make one attack per post, allowing the other character to determine whether or not your attack was successful. They may then have a choice in their character's fate.
- Injuries occur in hunts and fights. Remember that Cree and Caribou are both much less than invincible, and if the fight or hunt doesn't kill them an infection or disease can. Also, they cannot dodge all attacks or outrun every hunter.
- The role-players are allowed to determine the outcome of the fight. If it is undecided then ask a staff member, we are more than glad to help you determine who won.

Breeding
- Though we are role-playing a time when homosexuality was not common, we do however allow our characters to practice this. Adoption isn't allowed.
- Both species may mate whenever they would like to, but Caribou cannot conceive until fall and do not give birth until spring. Cree may conceive and give birth during any season.
- Not all infants survive. Your character may have a miscarriage or the offspring can die young.
- If you would like to become mates with another character, you must have completed at least two threads together, and you to become with child you must have completed three including one with implied mating.
- To create a breeding thread, you must first fill out an application in the Second Generation board. A staff member needs to approve it and determine the offspring's stats. The form requires both character's creators to fill out portions, but you may decide who posts the form.

Dying
- In this RP characters die, just as they would if they were real. They can die very young and at the hand of other characters. Caribou can be hunted, a Cree can die during a hunt, and both can die of natural causes. Remember that life is not always easy, and food can be hard to find.
- Everyone dies so your character must too eventually, though a select few may die of old age. Such a death is not rare, but very too common either.
- Please remember to post as soon as possible in the in between, just to notify everyone that you did die. You may take all the time you want to decide if you want to die or live.
- I may message you informing you that your character is going to die. By joining, you are allowing me to do so whenever I choose. This won't happen often.
- If you choose to reincarnate, you will have to fill out a form in the Waiting Room section. It will be just a few basic things such as names and whatnot. An admin will decide what you look like though and tweak your personality a bit, just to give you more of a challenge and make the site more interesting. You may choose your species, but gender must be the same. You may change your celebrity play by but then they become available for other members to use.
- If you choose to remain. The form is basically your character sheet but as a spirit, you must look as you did in your past life. You will go by your most recent name from the real lands of Ankti.
- While remaining, there is a pond in which you can see to the real world of Ankti and see what is going on. The things that the spirit sees are to be determined by the admin, and they may be anything from any time, so they are not always the most reliable things.
