{Caribou Social Ladder}
Leader:
The leader is the admin of the site. They make up the foundation of the herd and make choices to keep the herd safe and healthy. He or she is typically the largest of the herd and the best at finding food. This position, though typically open to anyone who can defeat the leader, is only for the admin of the site, so don't try to get it. Being leader's mate does not give you any extra credit on the site, because it is all up to the character's compatibility with another for the leader to have a mate. This character is basically just the mate of the leader.
Beta:
These are the second in command. One beta will be appointed, they are the equivalent to the Cree's elders though there is only one. They help maintain order, give their opinions to the leader, and are elders on the site. The beta's mate does not get any special privileges as, once again it is due to the compatibility of the characters. Appointed by the Leader.
Beta Apprentice:
This is the Caribou that makes sure that everyone is using appropriate language, and that boards are in the right spot. They report back to the Leader and the Beta, but they do their part to keep the herd together. Their mate gets no advancement due to being their mate. appointed by the Leader.
Scavengers:
These are the Caribou who are average throughout the pack. They scavenge for their food, mate, and follow their leader. They are known to obey, but as of late a few have decided to rebel. No one usually dies from this, but few have fallen to the leader when they challenge him or her. Beware and know your place.
Calves:
The calfs are the young of the caribou. This is any caribou that is below the age of two years. They cannot mate, nor do they leave their mothers for the time that they are a calf. They have to fend for themselves though they do drink milk for the first four months. They are kept close to their mothers at all times.
